We are starting to learn about the crusades today. As with any historical topic there are many parts to the puzzle of this topic. Free-write about knights. What do you know about knights? Where have you seen them? What kind of feelings do they bring up? What do you want to know about real knights?

I really don't know anything about knights except that they probably kill things.
ReplyDeleteI know nothing about night. I've seen them on medieval tv shows and movies but that's about it. They bring up no fellings in me. I want to know what was there point.
ReplyDeleteI know knights are like guards for kings and queens. I have seen them in movies that are setback in time. I want to know what knights actually did and what there rank was.
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't know too much about knights, all I know is that they are like soldiers in the mid evil days. I know they look bad ass and definitely do bad ass things.

ReplyDeletei know that knight work for the king an that they can sometime protect people or take people to jail a there was a movie named the black night with martin Lawrence an he was back in like a black night that everyone was afraid of because he was suppose to be the best fighter of all the people.i never seen a night before but they have fake night at the Renaissance.
ReplyDeleteI dont know much about knights. When i think of knights i always think about ancient medieval times. I am willing to open up and learn a lot about knights because they seem interesting.
ReplyDeleteKnights serve a king. They are like the military. I have only see them in the movies. I think that they are cool. I don't have any real feeling that they bring up. Is it more then just fighting. -Chumani Wayd
ReplyDeleteWhen I hear knights I think of castles and the Middle-Ages. I think of warrior people in armor who are riding horses. I think of them as soldiers for royal people who don't get paid very much.
ReplyDeleteThe only time I see knights is when I go to the Renascence festival. Because its based on like mid evil times and from the like way back in the day. Also, when you watch kid Disney movies with the knight trying to save the princess.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I think of knights I think of... A medieval version of motorcyclists for some reason. Just dudes who look like they have no problem beating the shit outta you or anyone else in or out of uniform. I also think of two handed broad swords and jousting, horses, armor, chainmail, metal gauntlets (Yiss), banners, GLORY/JUSTICE, dragons and always beating the bad guys and like.. Harems of women. Seriously.

What do i think about the knights i think that they protect the castle. I think that they kill people that do something wrong to the queen or the king. I think that sometimes people send the knight after people if they disobeied they king or the queen.
ReplyDeleteWhen I think of knights, I usually think of men in some sort of armor and fighting people, dragons, etc. I've seen knights in movies, the most notable for me is Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

ReplyDeleteAll I know about knights is they existed in the mid evil times and served their kings and queens. They were to keep order and protect the kings and queens from danger. That's really all I know. Their armor looks really cool though o.o I wish I could be a knight because I would love to be able to fight with a sword. Not actually hurt anyone but I mean like be able to know how to use one would be cool.
ReplyDeleteKnights are people who protect a castle and the royal family. They ride horses and have swords and shields. They are basically just warriors. The movies makes them out to be heroes. I doubt they are exactly like the movies in storybooks.

I don't really know much about knights. All I remember about knights is when I would be with my little cousin and she would watch Sleeping Beauty. The knights serve for the royal family. They joust and protect the royal family. That's all I remember about knights.
ReplyDeleteKnights are guys who protect the kings and queens. They are sometimes good in stories but sometimes they are bad. Sometimes girls in stories imagine their perfect guy as a "knight in shining armor"

ReplyDeleteWell, in our time we don't really have knights so I only think of them in the fairy-tale sense. Y'know, a knight in shining armor rescuing a pretty princess or being a total prick. But the funny thing is that these stories usually take place in medieval times (aka, a land far away). The knights in fairy-tales sugar coat the actual truth, much like a lot of things when were little. I'm not being 'happy fun time' nazi, I'm grateful for those childhood fairy-tales. It's just that when you're faced with reality, your happy artificial world crumbles.

Knights are cool i guess. I really dont know about knights except that they fight. i dont have any feelings about them

I know that knights are fighters and if you was born back in their century, then you would see and know more about them. I don't have no feelings about the knights. Why do they call them knights? That's what I want to know.
