(Today you are being graded PURELY on the amount of time you spend focused on the warmup. To get an A or B for it you will need to be writing for at least 5 of the 6 minutes allotted for warmup)
Some soldiers are heros depending on what side they are on because if they are on the enemies side then they aren't heros. Soldiers who are heros are the ones who go to the army and fight for our country and saves some ones life. Soldiers who are not heros are people who don't want to go over to a war but go because they were forced to go.
ReplyDeletenot really. I don't know why, I just don't. Never have, never will. Maybe it's because I was raised in a family who doesn't believe that.
ReplyDeleteYes, I do think that soldiers are heroes, because they are fighting and dying to keep their country safe. I can say the same thing for the soldiers from the other country, they're just fighting and dying to protect their country.
ReplyDeleteI think soldiers are heros, they had a choice to not risk their life for their country, but they do and this is what makes them heros. Soldiers are made up of strong stuff. They are brave and keep us safe by risking their lives. I would not have the guts to be on gun point everyday, but some people do and I applaud them for it. I salute them. Thank you for your bravery and protecting our country.
ReplyDeleteI do think somehow they are heroes because they are fighting for their country the country they live in or the country they are from. They are protecting their people/family and friends so they won't be hurt.
ReplyDeleteI think soliders are not hero's because it's not like they picked to do it they signed up for it. Along with me saying that I think that soldiers are brave people who made the choice to go out and fight for what they think it right.
ReplyDeleteI think that they are sometimes heroes. What I mean is if they go to war and kill people for no reason at all, just because I don't really think of them as heroes, but if they are going to war to keep us safe then I believe that they are heroes.
ReplyDeleteI think soldiers some soldiers can be heroes but i don't think all soldiers are heroes. If you are out in the battle field fighting and killing i think you can be considered a hero. If your not doing anything and your just sitting back i don't think that you can be considered a hero.

ReplyDeleteI believe that soldiers are hero's. I think they are because they put their life at risk everyday in order to protect the ones they care about. It doesn't matter if their fighting with me, or against me, because they are all fighting for something that they care for.
ReplyDeleteI think soldiers are heroes. Simply because they go and fight for our country and by them crusading against our enemies its possible that by killing them we can all be safe. Blood has to be shed for lives to be saved. Blaaahhh im just talking i really dont know what to say about this besides yeah i think they are.

ReplyDeleteTo me, my grandfather was a hero. He was fighting for Canada during world war II. He went to war because his county needed him and he believed what he was doing need to be done.
Recently, 5 (Not 100% on the #) soldiers in Iraq went on a killing spree. They killed civilians. Those five men are no hero of mine. I am ashamed to be from the same county as them.

This song is a good example of what I think. Some people go over a hero, but when they get there, they change and the things that they think is okay changes too.
I do think that soldiers are heroes some shape of form because the put there life on the line for there country!. I think that they do a lot and a bunch of people don't really notice how much they really do for us. I think they are really important people and should be noticed way more.
ReplyDeleteI guess that depends on what you think a hero is. A hero to me is anyone with guts, it doesn't matter in which field they have guts either, it could be a mind game, it could be a serious rumor started to get you ahead of the game. I find that many soldiers that I have read about... Are close to a hero. They are heroes in the sense that they fought through a tumult of sound and shock. They saw people getting their brains blown out, they suffered through war. In that sense they are heroes, they lived and fought, and made it through. On the other sense, they killed "enemies" as well as innocent people, does that make someone a hero? I know that when the Russians finally made it into Germany (WWII), they took all the available women to a warehouse and raped them, most of them died. I know that may American soldiers were cruel people, and over killed many germans/enemies that had nothing to do with the war. That is not heroic. History makes soldiers to be heroes because... I guess they protected invaders from encroaching upon their homeland, so in the historical way they are heroes, no matter which side they are from. Then you also need to walk around to the other side of the field, the "enemies" fought because they didn't want "us" getting into their homeland.

Yes I do think soldiers are hero's because they fight for a country. why want the be hero's I mean the sacrifice the life for us to save are country. So I will always think that soldiers are hero's.
ReplyDeleteI think that soldiers are heroes because they have to go through many difficult things in order to protect their country and themselves. Soldiers have to leave their homes for a very long time. Their families suffer because they don't know where that person is or if they're okay. There's always the fact that they are constantly in danger and have to fear for their lives. Soldiers are heroes because they sacrifice a lot in order to serve their country.
ReplyDeleteI think soldiers are heroes but unfortunate ones. They protect you but they're also pawns of the government. While they do one country good, they may do another one bad. Because of that, they are only heroes in the eyes of their people. I wish that the sweaty old politicians could duke it out instead of a whole country and it's inhabitants.

I think it depends what they are fighting for. If they are fighting for wrong values or with bad morals then they are not heroes. If they hurt innocent then they are definitely not heroes. Heroes don't hurt the innocent. Heroes have morals and fight for what is righteous. Not for what they are told to fight for even if it is ruining people's lives. They are not heroes if they are selfish and kill relentlessly without a need.
ReplyDeleteAre soldiers heros? My definition of a hero is a person something that saves you in the nick of time or when you are in a crises. So yes soldier are heros in my eye's and yes they do have to KILL for there own but what other choices do you have in the war it's KILL OR BE KILLED at the end who ever wins the war thoe's soldiers will be hero's and people will show a lot of love
ReplyDeleteI think they are because they are serving their country. Which they think their country is everything to them. Some soldiers are doing it because they hate other country or the soldiers also want blood.
ReplyDeleteI sort of do but then again I sort of don't. Soldiers (of course) protect us (The United States of America) from terrorists coming to our country and killing us all. But I hear that sometimes some soldiers kill innocent people like women and children if they are in "the line of fire". A friend of my aunts told me that I think last year. I used to think that soldiers were superheroes. But what if it's all a lie? How much are they willing to protect our country? Are they willing to kill women and kids of our enemies race just to protect us?
ReplyDeleteSoldiers are heroes because they go threw alot of stuff. Somebody has to protect us and they choose to.Without soldier other countries would probaly take advantage of us. People dont relize what soldier go through When they are in battle.

ReplyDeleteSome soldiers can be heroes based on the reason they are fighting. If they fight for themselves they aren't heroes. If they are fighting for others freedom then they are heroes cause they are helpings others out.
