I've heard and seen good things concerning the research for the Newsreel. For your warmup today I want to you answer the following three questions:
What is going well about your project so far?
What are you excited to work on for this project?
What are you worried about and what do you need some guidance from me on?
Here are some note taking ideas, a.k.a. sub topics:*
What was the event and how did it happen?
Why did the even happened? (What events/personalities led to it?)
Who was a hero or what is a human interest story within the event?
What effect did the even have on World War II? (What was the outcome/result?)
*Tomorrow you will have sometime to research but not the whole hour.
I have been able to find good info. I am excited that I get to learn about Pearl Harbor and why it was bombed. I am worried about the whole video part.

ReplyDeleteI don't know what I'm excited about, I'm not really excited.
I'm worried I have no idea what I'm doing or where to go next, because I am so disorganized and maybe I'll run out of time because I'm not smart enough to figure out how to do this.
I've been getting enough information, but it doesn't really give a "newsreel" feel. I'm doing it from the axis P.O.V, so I'm concerned about getting that feeling right. I think I will be able to get enough video clips, and there are plenty of photos for me to use. I don't really think I have a lot of problems I can't deal with at this point.

1. Finding a lot of information is going pretty good. There's lots of websites on it because it's a well known event.

3. I'm worried about how to make the video and putting it together because I'm not very good at those things.

I think that Fobbs and I are finding good information. I'm excited to try and make a video about the battle of Stalingrad, but also scared that the video won't be that good.

I'm worried about what group i am in because i think I'm with Hugh but he say's he is working by himself some times then with me sometimes. I don't really know what to do.

what is going well for me on the project so far is that i have three good websites to get information im excited to make the videoim worried about the notes .....
ReplyDeleteMy project is going quite well. I think I have hit the jackpot for sources and I have amassed a nice chunk of information. I am excited to start actually putting together a video, but I am afraid that I will not find enough footage / I will not be able to re-create a newsreel creatively and accurately.

Nothing I can think of.
What is going well is that we are finding information very easily and not having a hard time to find trustworthy sites.
ReplyDeleteI am excited how our newsreel will turn out honestly because it sounds like a really awesome way to do this.
What I am worried about that it might not turn out as great as I think it will be though. That would be very disappointing but who knows. Maybe it will turn out even better than what we think it will.
-Our project is going good. The part that we need help with is taking notes. Besides that we got the whole plan for our video.

1. One thing that is going well in our project is our sources. We have good sources that provide good information about our topic.

3. I need more guidance about the technical part about the project. I am not really good with the technical part of ANY assignment, so I am kind of worried about that.

1)The event is battle of Britain and the reason why it happen is because the Luftwaffe attacked a convoy of ships off Dover.
ReplyDelete2)Hitler was going to invade Britain so they decided to fight back.
3) One of the heroes was Frank Walker-Smith. He was one of the pilots in the Royal Air Force.
4) They were too busy fighting off the UK that Hitler had postponed the invasion of Britain. The British fighting their own probably made the people of Britain kind of confused, outraged, and afraid because they are fighting their own kind and how it might affects others/children.

My project is not going on quite at scheduled. I am currently having a lot of stuff going on in my life, and I am not having a lot of time work on this project outside of class. Luckily, things should be taming down soon. I really like the topic that I chose and I think that will help me finish up the project on time. I'm worried that I'm not going to be able to capture enough footage.
