Whether you stayed at home or came in for a couple relaxed days at school... Welcome back! In class today we'll be back in Ancient Greece comparing that lecture from last week with information from the text book. BUT before we start. Answer the following questions:
1) How was your weekend with the snow?
2) What did you do with the extra free-time?
3) What do you think will be the hardest part about being back in regular school today?
4) What is the best part?
5) Do you think it was smart for Minneapolis schools to close? What about WMEP (us) schools staying open? Why?
It was okay. I was stuck in the house pretty much the whole time, but I started working on a book. In the free time that I had I slept, because everything was closed and canceled. Having to do work and thinking about how some people got snow days and we didn't. The best part was that you get to see your friends again. I think it was smart for Minneapolis to close schools because of the snow it was really hard to get around, but I also think that if you could come to school than you should go. I think we should of closed down, because there was like no one here and we really didn't do anything at all.

I think that our school could of close since mostly nobody wasnt here.
The snow was just to much but we had fun with it though having snow ball fights and things like that but sleeping in was the best part. staying awake and back on track.
ReplyDeleteI think our school should've been closed because it didn't make any since it was a mess outside like 3 feet of snow how are we supposed to go to school with snow like that????
so yes i do think minneapolis schools did a good thing about closing schools.

5. I think that WMEP schools should have been closed because were downtown, and it's hard to get here because so many people live in different places.
I stayed in the house and slept.

For me it is not going to be hard because it's a regular school day.

Yes it was because the roads were slippery and they didn't plow.

I went skiing and got to hang out with my neighbor.

Being super tired. During the two day break I was able to sleep till nine, and loosing two hours of sleep is not going well.

I personally do not see anything good with going back to school.

Well, MPLS schools had a good reason to close. With such a low windchill, and the chance of buses getting stuck, it was the most practical thing to do.
My weekend with the snow was really good i got to stay in the house and just relax. With the extra free I did some photoshop and edited my video for jarmens class. The hardest part about coming back to school is actually doing work instead of just sitting in the house all day.

this weekend I didn't do anything my mom said I couldn't go any where. So I stayed in the house all weekend a I hated it so much. But Sunday I went to Alexus house An tried to do I homework. But I didn't do anything with my extra time. Staying in the being bored as ever, that I got to sleep in. well are school should had been closed too because not even half of the school wasn't there because the mpls buses wasn't working so yeah I think would could have been close.

I did a little homework & studied for some classes & slept & was on facebook. . also just chilled with the family & watched movies.

You do get to do stuff at your on your own time.

Yes . They were not trying to risk students & also the drivers life. I don't think we should of had school on the snow day. & if they call a snow day then, why would you try to be different . Apparently it was for a reason. Maybe yall should start thinking about our "safety".

Well, with my time, I mostly played video games, because I never get the chance to. I also cleaned my room. That's how boring it was. I think being back at school will be hard because I won't have any free time. I was getting used to the fact that that I COULD waste two hours of time here and there, and I already have time management problems. But school will help me get back into the groove of things. It is unfortunate, but I find that school makes me busy, and when I'm busy I work more on things I am doing outside of school (music, bike, etc) so school will help me do that I guess. I think WMEP school should have closed. I mean... COME ON, how many feet of snow did we get? Every other school was closed. It was a snow day. I have been going to FAIR schools since 4th grade and we NEVER had a snow day EVER. Snow days are one of the best parts of winter childhood. and there was also a safety risk because the streets weren't even plowed until monday afternoon, so you would have had students trudging through un-shoveled snow to get on a bus that is slipping and sliding through this blizzard. Is that really necessary? I dunno.... I ramble.

3. The hardest part would be waking up early in the morning to actually go to school. That's the hardest for me.

1. My weekend was okay. I got stuck at Veronica's house though because the roads were too bad. That was fun though, we played monopoly a lot.

3. My attention span is super short today and I'm super excited for the break. That means I'm probably going to half ass everything until friday.
4. The best part about having a normal school day is that we're actually doing something. Otherwise showing up to school is a waste of time.

Minneapolis schools had to close because the busses couldn't run and students couldn't get to school. No because they did not communicate that they were open.
1)MY weekend was good and bad the good thing is it was my birthday and the bad thing was there was a blizzard.
