Yesterday we started learning about the birth of Western drama. Next week (Monday for core 3, Tuesday for core 4) we'll be acting out our brief version of a Greek tragedy or Greek comedic-tragedy. 1) Write a synopsis (what is going to happen in your play) in 50-100 words. The paragraph above is 61 words long.
2) What is your role for the play?
3) What do you personally need to do so you'll be ready to perform next week?
If you missed class yesterday take this time to first do the warmup from yesterday. Then read the assignment and start brainstorming what you could do for it.
fortune teller tells guy he is going to rescue a princess and he is like yeah. then he leaves after that the fortune teller is like shoot that was the wrong guy. then guy saves princess and they get married and then the princess kills the guy. We ahve picked roles in the play yet. I think we are going to record it today but I don't know

ReplyDeleteMy play is going to be about a vet who loves animals. One night she get's call late at night to do a surgery. On her way to the hospital she get's hit by another car, it just just so happens to be that the person in the other car was the patient. The owner died, and the dog lived...
ReplyDeleteIn our play there is going to be two deaths. When The father comes home he sees that his family is gone. Then he calls his brother to see if he knows what happened or where they are. hours later they haven't came home yet then you will have to watch it to see what will happened next. My role for the play is either the cop or the brother. we are not performing we are showing the video

ReplyDeleteThe play is going to be about a vent that is trying to rush to help help and animal and end up getting in a crash with the pet and the person and ends up dying and so did the person with the pet.
ReplyDeleteBasically what will happen in the script is that Tycen(me) will come home, but my family will be missing. I'm worried sick so I call my ugly brother will come and try to cheer me up. but it won't work and I will tragically commit suicide.

ReplyDeleteIn our play, a huntress (Yesenia) is going to kill a deer. Then she is going to go back to her village and everyone is going to cherish her. Everyone is happy and cheery but then Artemis (Me) shows up and is mad. Artemis' sacred animal is the deer so she is mad that the huntress killed one. So Artemis and the huntress fight and the huntress dies. THE END!

I play the goddess Artemis and the villagers.
3) What do you personally need to do so you'll be ready to perform next week?
We need to record our skit still and edit it.
There is going to be a kid that starts to steal stuff and then he is addicted to stealing, and cant stop. Then he dies and goes to hell and it is a tragedy.

We haven't decided exactly what we're going to do yet but Robin and I are pretty sure we're going to do a scene in a elevator. I'm not sure what role I'm going to play yet because we need to make a script and brainstorm what could happen while we're in it.

1. Our story is going to be about a young girl who is poor. But suddenly her father lands a big job that makes their family rich. Sot hey move to a new rich neighborhood and the young girl goes to a new school. The girl gets new rich friends and starts to forget about her old friends. So she ends up trying to keep up an appearance to everyone and looses her old friends and new friends all together.

1. Our project is about there is an amazing hunter in a town that kills a deer. Artemis finds out about the hunter killing the deer and wants revenge. They end up fighting and Artemis kills the hunter for disobeying her commands of not killing her sacred animals.

ReplyDeleteryan: Augsburg isn't a bad college, but it's more expensive than some other colleges i'd like to go to. I don't want to go to college on a small campus and i don't want to go to a college that is so close to my house.
